Problem getting grid to show on XP

Hi, I am a newbie to Inkscape and I have a problem getting the grids to show on my XP machine, they show on Vista and I thought I have set them exactly the same on XP and they will not show - what am I doing wrong please.

Welcome to InkscapeForum!

It sounds like it would be a good idea to check and make sure the settings are correct. Here's the manual info: http://tavmjong.free.fr/INKSCAPE/MANUAL ... pping-Grid. Note that the grid lines are actually not fully opaque. So that if you change the opacity a little, perhaps they are just too faint to see? Also, if you can't get it to work, please tell us which version of Inkscape you're using :D

Thanks for the welcome it was a doh moment, I had the opacity set wrong!!
