The hands

Postby jonata » Fri Jul 27, 2007 12:28 am

Hello!

Here is a work made to a logo... the hardest thing was the hands, so.. I isolate it and put in commons.wikimedia.org

It have some "fake" shadows, I mean.. from the time that there wasn't the Blur effect, so I did the shadows using some black gradients.

incidentally yesterday i was thinking of a picture on same topic, alas still beyond my abilities. the svg picture would be of a native woman holding the hand of a caucasian child, walking away from camera, and caucasian child portrayed as having a lot of strength in this journey (child face in profile looking up to native woman). somehow with the lines of the drawing the native woman needs to look like a "pillar of strength" entirely from behind, without showing face.

That sounds awesome!
But I would encourage you to continue to challenge yourself. If not with the image you describe, then in other ways. Some day maybe it will be within your abilities :D
