how to transform a rectangular figure into "half circle"?

Postby albumns » Sat May 04, 2013 9:44 pm

Dear:

I've got a rectangular figure and I am trying to transform it into "half circled" one. I use "convert object into path" and trying to to add some nodes at the edge of the figure so that I can transform it by drug those nodes. But when I click the "add node" (+) tool, it doesn't work....

I am just wondering how can I to do this?

thank you very much
Albert

You can double click on a path segment to add nodes,
OR select two nodes next to eachother, then click on the add new nodes icon.

Welcome Albert!

Hhmm....rectangle to half circle? It seems to me it would be more direct to start with a circle, rather than rectangle, if the result will be a half circle. Something tells me we may not have all the info we need to answer your question. In addition to Lazur URH's suggestions, I might add that the path needs to be selected, with the Node tool, before double-clicking will work.

If you still can't get it to work, maybe you could show us a screenshot, or the SVG file, for us to investigate?

Hard to say exactly what albumns means, at this point.

I can't imagine not using the circle tool (then clicking on the half circle), which will give the orig poster an exact half circle, then it can be converted to a path if wanted.
Lazur/Druban - LOL re: ragnar, he's surrounded. and beyond that, am thinking he has a photographic memory as well.
