svg / ruler difference for x, y

Postby bibile » Fri Feb 12, 2010 12:14 am

Hello,
I am new to inkscape.

I noticed that the ruler origine (0, 0) is bottom/left. but the SVG origin is top/left.
This origin is different for the document and shapes.

Is it possible to set inkscape in a way that the SVG will match rulers ?
I checked in the options, but could not fine it.

Thanks for your help.

I'm sorry that I can't explain why (because I don't really understand it), but it can't be done. .....unless...I don't know if you flip a shape horizontally (top to bottom), if that moves the (0,0) origin from the top left to the bottom left? But even if so, I think that would be an unacceptable workaround (unless you just need this to happen as a one-time thing).

sad.
I will use the svg as input for some other software I make.
To be able to choose the origin of a document and the orientation of x,y would have been very usefull.
thanks for your help !
