How do I send a vector file?

I need to send a vector file INCLUDING A BLURRED SHADOW AND A GRADIENT, to the client. Can anyone give me a step by step way of doing this?

Send it however you like. The blurred shadow and gradient will go right along with it. Although it may be that whatever program your client is using to open the file, can't handle those features.

Please tell us the format you sent (I'm guessing SVG?). If you can find out, tell us what your client is using to open it.
