I installed Comodo firewall yesterday, today when I opened Inkscape and tried to save a file as DXF I got a message that Inkscape was trying to access the Internet, I chose refuse as I didn't see why it would, now I get a message saying "This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information".
I've disabled Comodo but I'm still getting the error message and I've no idea where to go from here, can anyone please advise?
Can't save as DXF
Re: Can't save as DXF
Problem solved. I uninstalled Comodo and everything is working as it should. Just for information it turned out I couldn't save in any format other than SVG.
Re: Can't save as DXF
Hhhm....we've had reports here of other conflicts with various Comodo products. (I'll be glad to search them out, if necessary.) I wonder if this should be reported to developers (i.e. Launchpad)??

Certain keyboard shortcuts failing in Inkscape on Windows if Comodo products are installed has already been reported.
Beyond that, I don't know whether it's really a bug in Inkscape - or maybe a bug in the Comodo product misinterpreting certain actions (e.g. Inkscape spawning a separate python process to run script-based import or export extensions) as "trying to access the internet". Possibly some Windows user is able to gather more details what actually happens…, and on which level the firewall blocks Inkscape even if it was explicitly disabled.

I don't suppose that would be as simple as submitting a log file or something?
