Hi there,
I am preparing a figure for a scientific publication and I am running into some weird/new problems with inkscape...
So my figure has two panels. For simplicity, I made/ edit each of my panels in powerpoint and save them as pdf images.
My panels contain latex code done in latexit and pasted in powerpoint.
When I import these figures to inkscape, some of the text in the latex code disappears, and some of the text that I put in powerpoint has an extra ! added at the end of the text. I should say that I have done this many times before and this is the first time this happens to me.
I am using mavericks, powerpoint version 14.1 2011. I installed the newest version of inkscape and modified the preferences in X11 as indicated here
http://www.inkscape.org/en/download/mac-os/
but that didn't solve the issue.
Any idea of where the problem could be?
I tried importing a pdf made with python and it works perfectly fine.
thanks
import from powerpoint/pdf makes weird things with fonts
