I've been using Inkscape on my iMac for about 3 years now and I love it. It used to open right away but I recently upgraded the OS to 10.10.1, Yosemite, and now it takes over 90 seconds from the time I click the icon to the time the page opens. Anyone heard of this or have any ideas?
I'm using the latest stable version, 0.48.5.

Is it just Inkscape that's slow to load or is the performance degraded for all applications?

The second link did the trick.
I deleted X11, reinstalled it, rebooted, then reinstalled Inkscape. Now the program opens in about 3 seconds. (Without rebooting it asked me, "Where is X11?")
It was only Inkscape that was slow, not other apps.
