Hi!

I want to reproduce the red drawing from the link below, but it takes a lot of time to manually place the isosceles triangles around the circle. Does anybody have any idea how I could do such a thing in an easier manner?

You can draw a star (*) with 24 spikes, convert it to path (Ctrl+Shift+C), then use the node editor tool to un-connect every second spike, and to connect remaining spikes to be rectangles.

Or draw one rectangle, click on it twice with the object select tool, set the rotation centre to be at the circle's -preferably use the snap to path intersection option, then duplicate (Ctrl+D) the triangle 11 times and rotate duplicants while holding down Ctrl.
Or use the make tiled clones option in the edit menu with p1, 12 rows, 1 columns, -100% for y offset in rows, and 30° rotation for rows.

To place objects in a grid or in a circular fashion Inkscape has an excellent tool - the Tiled Clones Tool found under; Edit - Clone - Create Tiled Clones.

Follow the guide but for 12 objects around a circle as in the original posters example, use; 30 degrees for rotation, scale exponent 1.0, and 1rows and 12 columns.
If further assistance is needed please chime back for a "cookbook" approach explanation.
