Saving eps file
Hello, I'm a novice and have a pretty basic question. I've been searching for the solution but have not found it so hope you can help me. I imported a 1.2mb public domain eps file, removed a watermark, and saved it again as an eps file which is now 58kb. Would someone please tell me how to save it as an eps in a larger file size. Many thanks.
Re: Saving eps file
It is, incidentally, the policy of this forum not to provide aid in reproducing copyrighted work. so the first question: why would a public domain file have a watermark?
Why do you need your file to be a particular size in kb? The (copyright?) watermark that you removed was probably a 1MB raster image, resulting in a now smaller file. Removing the watermark does not mean that you are not violating the copyright holder's rights and you are still exactly as liable as with a watermark. As is anyone who assists you.

Your mind is what you think it is.

I would be rather stupid to be asking for this solution if I was infringing a copyright. The image is public domain from publicdomainvectors.org who place a non copyright watermark to advertise their website. And no, the watermark is not a raster image. I suppose you have nothing of value to add?

Re: Saving eps file
You could zip the file and share it here, or post a link to the file... we could take a look and advise.
Have a nice day.

Well there were several curious items in your original question. On top of the others already mentioned, I'm curious why you want to make the file larger. Most people want to make their files smaller.
You could put the watermark back, and hide it on a separate layer, or make it completely transparent. Or you could put all kinds of unnecessary contents into the file, on a hidden layer. An imported raster image would add lots of more weight to the file (again, hidden layer).
Or do you mean you want the dimensions of the image larger?
(Hmm, reminds me, I should add something about copyright issues into guidelines for the new forum....)

Re: Saving eps file
I rekon the OP just wants to scale the image.
As for the watermarked PD images... they are on a site that harvests PD artwork to sell $hutterstock artwork and other services; and in the process, they add their own watermark. Technically fair use, but a bit cheeky.

Re: Saving eps file
There are some of those stock image sale platforms that don't accept images below a certain size. Which makes absolutely no sense for vector images, but yeah.... I think there have been at least 2 or 3 other persons who asked about that before (maybe not here, though).
