Hi,
I'm working with a windows, 64 bit, using .91 for 32 bit (the 64 one caused my computer to crash).
Starting about one week ago, I've noticed problems opening PDFS or AI files (essentially PDFs...)

This is what happens:
-I navigate to the file, click open, nothing happens.
-Assuming the file is slow to load, I wait for at least a minute or two
-Nothing happens
-Eventually I navigate to the same file, click open again.
-With the second click, the file opens almost immediately.
-Additionally, as soon as that second file opens, the first one finally does too.
-I now have two files open - I close one.
-Although not huge, the problem troubles me and I'm tempted to uninstall and reinstall...

I'd appreciate any thoughts on why this behavior is happening and how to stop/fix it.

I'm having that issue with some things too. Basically following your post as I don't have an answer.
Could be a pc virus, (more specifically, not a virus but things like google or Facebook tracking keywords so they can target ads to me, it really slows the computer down, can't get rid of that totally). I noticed also that my memory gets filled up quickly when working on large SVG's, then everything slows down to a snails pace, and then it won't let me save anymore, and I have to do a save as.... Not entirely sure what's going on, but memory might be the bigger issue.

How large are these PDFs that you're trying to open? Have you watched a clock to see how long you're waiting? How long are you waiting before trying the 2nd time?

I've done that before myself, except with SVG files. I was using an old mouse that I wasn't sure if it was working right. So I tried to open the 2nd time, and then both files opened together at the same time. I'm not sure if it should be a problem though. If you wait long enough, doesn't the file eventually open (on the first try)?
