Hi!
I am a newbie using Inkscape 0.91 running under Window 7 Pro (64-bit).
SVGs are vector files; they are XML scripts. When one imports an SVG file in Inkscape, Inkscape can display the width and the height of the image in pixels and in inches. The calculated PPI is about 90.
While I understand what PPI is for raster files, what does it mean for SVG files?
Thank you!

Puzzled: SVG and PPI?
Re: Puzzled: SVG and PPI?
Hi.
It means, if you zoom in 100%, and want the exact appearance as a raster image, you need to export it at 90 dpi.
(0.92 is using 96 dpi for moving forward with the javascript standard.)

Dear Lazur,
Thank you for your reply.
However, you used the term DPI (dots per inch), not PPI (pixels per inch) and I do know they are not the same. So, I am still puzzled.

Re: Puzzled: SVG and PPI?
Used dpi because that's inkscape's jargon at the export png image (Shift+Ctrl+E) panel.
