Mirroring, rotating, scaling a clone?

Postby ArchonXM » Fri Aug 30, 2013 7:30 am

Could a clone be, for example, mirrored, rotated and scaled? I am considering Inkscape to create sprite atlases. For example, in the first row would be a walk cycle to the right, and on the second row, the same cycle, duplicated and mirrored, facing left. Sorry if this is a foolish question.

As far as I have understood, a clone would change, when the original is changed, yes? Which would mean then that I would only have to change the upper row, when I am editing. This is, if the mirroring would not break the link.

Thanks in advance!

Yes, clones can be transformed.
Scaling, mirroring, rotating, skewing is all done by the same transform matrix in the codes, which is not affecting the clone link.

Good luck!
