Hi, I write because i am looking for a program that imports in mass simple images (jpeg, bmp etc) and creates for each of them an image 4 times bigger, composed by the original image copied and mirrored.
Let me explain: in the final image, in the top left there is the original image, in the top right the original image mirrored by the vertical axis and in the bottom these 2 images mirrored by the horizontal axis.
Do you know a program that do this, apart from photoshop?
I don't want to install photoshop because I already use fireworks for all the common graphical operations.
Thank you

Re: Image mirrored
I'm sure you could write some kind of scrip to do it with Inkscape. I have no idea how but I'm sure you could.

I'm not sure if exactly your example can be done using the command line but it's worth to investigate

Re: Image mirrored
this is so simple to just do, why go to the trouble of automating it?

Re: Image mirrored
If you're working on a heap of files and need batch conversion then you could try Irfanview, which is free and small in terms of hard drive space. In File --> Batch conversion choose your folder of images and tick the box so you can into the Advanced dialog window. In there you'll find some flip/rotate options that should do the trick.

imagemagick will do it..and then some. it's the swiss-army knife for image files using the command line.
