Path->Diffrence: Strange result

Postby flappix » Wed Dec 10, 2014 4:26 am

Hi @ all,
I have a little problem using the Tool Path -> Diffrence.
If I just have two circles and wanna cut the overlapping part it works fine.

Now I have this image where the grey part is an gardient from white to transparent (the background on the layer behind this is black) and the green circle is my "rubber stamp"
Image

What I wanna have is the red-marked part here:

And this is what I get after using Path -> Diffrence

Any ideas how to get the needed result?
Thanks in advance

It's hard to say, without seeing more of the image. Having the SVG would be even better.

Without that though, I would say to be sure you have selected the objects correctly. I see a tiny, white...object with either blur or radial gradient. It looks like a tiny flash, on the left where green meets gray. Idk what that could be, or whether it could be part of the problem. But it's a curious tiny thing.

Are the objects draw with Pen or Pencil tools? If they were drawn in Spiro Spline mode, that could possibly explain it. Or maybe if they have some LPE applied?

Or if you're working in some extremely small scale, sometimes things go wacky.
