Can Inkscape duplicate/move objects in 1/1000mm

Postby Deonet » Thu Nov 11, 2010 11:54 pm

Illustrator has the option to duplicate or move objects as exact as 0.001mm, is this also possible with Inkscape?

Until now we haven't found this option, however we know how to duplicate/move in 0.01mm instead of 0.001mm with Inkscape.

Hi and welcome Deonet!
Yes, all the various ways possible for moving objects in Inkscape, values are carried out to the third decimal (0.000). Afaik, all values in Inkscape are carried to 3rd decimal place.

Since this is very clear and easy to find, I do believe that your copy of Inkscape apparently does not show the 3rd decimal place. So I wonder if you're using a non-English installation? I don't know if choice of language would cause this, but it's the only thing that comes to mind.

What version of Inkscape is this?

Hi Brynn,

Since it sounds so simple we reinstalled Inkscap -> problem solved!

Thanks!
