Where are the "ABCs" filters on the MAC version?

Postby Senkai » Wed Apr 29, 2015 11:45 am

Okay, so for an assignment for my online art class, I need to add a black outline to something. They showed me that the black outline filter should be under the "ABCs" tab.

However, when I look through the Filters tab, there's no "ABCs" tab at all! Therefore I can't give it a black outline. Is it in a different place on the MAC version or something?

This is what I mean:

There should be a "ABCs" tab above where the "Bevels" tab is. But for me it's not there!!

Thanks in advance!!!

On 0.91 it's under Filters > Morphology > Outline...

Whereas 0.48 only allowed you to use a black outline unless you edited the filter, with 0.91 there are some settings exposed, including a "Colour" tab, so you can easily have a black, blue or pink outline.

With that said, however, do you really want to use a filter for this? There may be a good reason to do so, but it's worth checking that you're familiar with using the "Stroke" part of the Fill & Stroke dialog, as that would be a better option if it does what you need.
