I´m the guy behind opendesktop.org, gnome-look.org, kde-look.org and a few more community sites for free software.

I noticed the there are a few good sites for inkscape content but not a real community website for all content types and a real social network. So I created http://www.inkscapestuff.org

It is a community site where users can upload stuff and other users can download, discuss, rate and subscribe this uploads. You also have community functions like messages, friends, microblogging, groups and more. I did this for a few other free software projects and I think this can stimulate the community and attract new contributors.

There is also a public api where you can access the content via a REST api. Check api.inkscapestuff.org.

I wonder if it would be appropriate to combine your site with this forum.
