Hi folks,
I upgraded my IE to version 9 last night, and this morning I've opened a folder to find the svg files are now showing as IE files. I can right click then select inkscape and they open as normal (If I click "open with" there is no inkscape to select :s) so I cant figure out how to change it back to the inkscape icon instead of this irritating explorer icon?
IE9 has changed my svg files to ie ?!
Re: IE9 has changed my svg files to ie ?!
When you go to "Open with", select "Choose default program" at the bottom of the list. Then click the "Browse" button and find locate inkscape.exe.
I think it's pretty rude of IE to make itself the default program for SVG files. But at least it shows their support for the format.

yes..finally inline svg in websites will be a possibility. no more slicing svg into png files. and combined with html 5 and css 3 features etc, you'll be able to scale the graphics dynamically for mobile or other screens. pretty cool. now just need to wait for enough people to upgrade to windows 7, as that's the only ie9 platform.
