Problems when I scale an object

Postby Xaykev » Fri Mar 05, 2010 6:51 am

I am a newbee, sorry ;p, and have created an object all by myself. When I try to make the object smaller it loses it proportions; some of the lines in the object gets to big. Why is that happening, and why my object look the same, just smaller?
I love Inkscape by the way, great program!!

Best regards,
Xaykev

Is the object all one path or all one group? Or maybe you don't have everything selected?

Yes, I make sure they are grouped before I try to scale it down. I wonder what I am doing wrong. How do I post a file or a picture of the object, it would probably be easier for you if you could see it yourself.
Thanks for answering by the way :)

Make sure you have your preferences set to scale stroke widths when scaling objects. This preference is in the Transforms section of Inkscape Preferences (Shift+Ctrl+P), labelled "Scale stroke width". It's also the first of the Affect buttons on the Selector toolbar.
