This is a read-only archive of the inkscapeforum.com site. You can search for info here or post new questions and comments at I often want to divide an object in two, or take a line from halfway across an object. But the grid works on intervals of 5 divisions, so I can't snap to half way across a grid cell.
Can I change the grid to work on four divisions instead of five, so half and quarter can be snapped to, or is there another way of doing this.

you can customize the grid I file menu/document properties/grids
