Remove holes in a shape

Postby MaxQuantum » Thu Feb 19, 2015 5:28 am

I have used combine operation on a group of paths. I want to get the single outer border of this group, but the combined shape has holes. How to remove the holes and get the monolite outer border, not a combination of several borders?

Set non-zero fill rule on the compound path and press Ctrl++.

This method still gives you "holes" if the objects are not overlapping. How to "remove" the holes?

Most of the times it should work. If in bad luck, some of the subpath's directions needs to be changed before the Ctrl++ part.

Oh well, instead of combining you can use Ctrl++.
Should be easier that way.
Like, if you want to fill up all the holes, break the compound path apart (Ctrl+Shift+K) and add them together (Ctrl++).
