Having trouble with the pencile

Postby Inmora » Sun Jan 08, 2012 2:23 am

When I go to draw a straight line and hit the node button to curve the line, it will not show its being curved but when clicking on the nodes themselves it shows the blue degree lines showing it has been curved. I have looked over the manual and FAQs but I did not see anything showing what is going on or why it is doing this. I'm not sure but I fear I have hit something and have no idea what I hit. If possible can someone help me.

Thanks.

Welcome to InkscapeForum!

It sounds like you're drawing in Spiro mode. When you engage the Pencil tool, look up at the tool control bar, and make sure "Create regular Bezier path" button is clicked, and that "Create spiro path" button is not.

Let us know if that solves the problem :D

-Hangs head- I must have clicked it by mistake. I was going out my mind to figure what I did. Yeap, that fixed the issue I had working on this line art for a Star Trek design. Thank you Byrnn.
