toggle view shortcut?

Postby Kid riddlin » Sun Sep 29, 2013 5:24 am

ctrl+5 doesnt seem to work. i like to switch to outline mode alot to make sure vectors look good and for stray nodes and such. is there a way to change the shortcut or make a new hotkey or something? thanks

Sorry if this is obvious...

Are you using "Ctrl numpad 5"? It is not the same key-combo as "Ctrl 5".

I'm on a laptop with embedded numpad, so it would be more complicated for me, unless I plug in a usb numpad.
Have a nice day.

I'm using Inkscape 0.92.2 (5c3e80d, 2017-08-06), 64 bit win8.1

The Inkscape manual has lots of helpful info! http://tavmjong.free.fr/INKSCAPE/MANUAL/html/

It appears the keymap can be user-modded. I have not done it personally, but I imagine another user here can assist, if needed.

http://inkscape.org/doc/keys048.html

"This document describes the default keyboard and mouse shortcuts of Inkscape, corresponding to the share/keys/default.xml file in Inkscape distribution. Most (but not all) of these keys are configurable by the user; see the default.xml file for details on how to do that."
