I love Inkscape. It just does what I need it to do almost...
My problem is curving a line between 2 points.
My goal is to be able to bend the line between the two points smoothly without all the strange bending Inkscape does. If I push the line between the points I'd like it to move the most from where I'm pushing. Imagine a trampoline with water poured on it. It would be a gradual bending from each end reaching the apex in the middle or where ever the most force was applied.
What happens in reality is having to push and prod here and there, add points to anchor the line and just struggle through the best I can.
I don't need all this fancy stuff, just bend the line between the points equally.
Is this possible without having to read the entire manual?
TIA
Curves Between Points
Re: Curves Between Points
What you want to achieve sounds very much like Inkscape's default behaviour to me. I wonder if you're perhaps creating Spiro paths rather than simple Beziers, which might explain your problem. When you select the Freehand or Bezier tool, make sure that the "Mode" setting on the toolbar is set to "Create regular Bezier path" (the leftmost option).
