1. Is there a set maximum number of layers possible ? i.e. am I limited in the numbers of layers I will use ?
2. I looked at the verious file format in the 'save as' feature and didn't see tiff nor jpg. Is there a way to export or save as a tiff or a jpg ?

1) I would say it's only limited by your memory
2) You need to export as png and then convert to tiff or jpg.
