Hello,
I'm trying to insert Greek letter in text using the Ctrl+U and the unicode for the symbol (03bc for micron letter but tried also other ones according to the Unicode table) but Inkscape either types something completely different or says Non-printable character. How to get around with this, please?
Sure I searched the forum here and there, but apart from the Ctrl+U trick I haven't found other solution.
I'm on Win 7 64 bit, Inkscape 0.48. The font in the text box was Arial.
Thanks for your help.
Insert Greek letter: Ctrl+U + unicode does not work?
Re: Insert Greek letter: Ctrl+U + unicode does not work?
Try with Glyphs, from Text tool menu.
Re: Insert Greek letter: Ctrl+U + unicode does not work?
Hello Maestral, it worked, thanks. Now even the Ctrl+U works, could be wrong code or perhaps I typed wrongly the code (i.e. using wrong keys, the code was correct).
Re: Insert Greek letter: Ctrl+U + unicode does not work?
Wrong display of the character/symbol could be related just to the font which was active at the moment. Not all of the fonts have all of the glyphs... etc.
Still, I don`t know what might cause the message about the Non-printable character.
