It seems that maybe there were some problems with my installation of inkscape, because there isn't any special character shown by Glyphs.
What I did to insert the special characters is firstly creating a text and then opening Glyphs in toolbar "TEXT". Unfortunately, none of the special characters was shown by the dialog although I tried all the options for Font family, Style, Script and Range. Could anyone help me to fix that? Thank you very much.

In the textbox script: "all" , in the textbox Range: "all".
If doesn't work re-install Inkscape with the last stable version 0.48

Many thanks for your reply. In fact, I have re-installed the latest version of inkscape over five times. Unfortunately, the problem has not been solved. I have to use clt+U to insert special characters.
