I am having a problem where I want to print multiple copies of a finished piece of work. I enter the number of copies I want printed but only 1 copy (the first) prints the image while the other pages that come out are all blank. For now I have had to resort to exporting the image as a .png and using photoshop to print multiple copies however I lose image quality in the process. The images that I am printing require full quality which inkscape certainly delivers however only one printed page at a time.

I really like inkscape however not being able to print multiple copies of my images is severly limiting. I know some might say just use a copier to make multiple copies of my print however currently the copier I have access to is of very poor quality.

Can anyone make any suggestions?

First I should say that I'm not familiar with all the ins and outs of printing. But when I go to File menu > Print, I'm presented with a dialog that allows me to choose how many copies I want printed. I ran it up to 100, just as a test, and it could go much higher. The field for the number of copies looks like it could go up into the thousands.

I'm on Windows with Inkscape 0.48. Maybe you're using a different operating system?

I am using version 0.48.1 of Inkscape on a Vista Home Premium OS. I am printing to a network printer however I have identified that the drivers may need an update. Once they are updated I will test again and let you know how it goes. By the way, thank you for the welcome.

If directly printing from Inkscape fails or doesn't produce good results, save a copy of the drawing as "Portable Document Format (*.pdf)" and use the PDF viewer of your choice to print it.
