I'm new to both this forum and Inkscape.
I need to output a logo to EPS format to send to a commercial sign maker.
Each file I save as EPS is either blank or comes up with an error message saying unable to save file.
My design has an image as a background, with text and logo overlaid.
What do I need to do to output this
Thanks in advance.
Paul

Try reading this topic thread first viewtopic.php?f=5&t=820. I know it's a bit long, but your solution may be explained in there somewhere.
Also, a few other questions, just to clarify the problem.
-- Is there any other text with the error message, besides unable to save file? If so, please tell us what it is.
-- Is this a logo you've created yourself in Inkscape? Or are you just using Inkscape to compile the logo, text and background from other sources into one image? If so, are they already in EPS format, or some other format? If this is the case, please let us know what formats they are.
I don't know if this will help, but it surprisingly has solved other problems, here and there. If it's an image you're creating yourself from scratch, try saving the image as SVG and then converting to EPS. But if they're another format or EPS, no need to convert to SVG and back to EPS. Also, please make sure the entire image falls inside the image border.
If you still haven't solved the problem after my suggestions and those in the linked topic, please reply with any additional info you may have learned. Good luck
