Howto unite/unionize all text

Postby Lexi710 » Mon Jun 24, 2013 10:27 am

Hi,

I am quite new to Inkscape and mainly use it to design papercuts, there for all letters/words etc have to be connected...I type each word in to a separate text box for easy manipulation, but once I have them all I place want them united...I can't seem to work out how to get them all connected without see where the letters overlap...I managed it once by complete fluke and now can't work it out

Would really appreciate it that if anybody knows how they could let me know and. preferably, in easy to follow steps!

Many thanks :)

Welcome aboard!

After all the objects you want to keep together are selected, you can group them together by pressing Ctrl+G.
This way you can keep them as texts for later editing.

Another more savage way, is after all texts are selected,
convert them to paths by pressing Ctrl+C, then ungroup them by pressing Ctrl+Shift+G,
then combine them together by pressing Ctrl+K.
