I'm completely new to Inkscape so please forgive my ignorance. I imported an image, added some text on top of it and scaled it a bit. However, I do not know how I can crop the image and remove the background. The SVG can be found here:

Basically, I just want the bottle saved without anything surrounding it. How do I do this?

Re: Help with cropping
Thanks for your reply. Im trying to see if theres a way to trace the outline of the bottle and just crop it out, so that I can export it to PNG or whatever format I want. Hopefully someone who can open the file can help me out.
Re: Help with cropping
Hi I opened your lalogo.svg in Inkscape and I am not sure what the problem is that you are having. The bottle is a raster image with an alpha channel attached that makes the background transparent so you can do this:
I just inserted a rectangle with a polka dot pattern fill and sent it to the bottom of the z order. is this what you want?
If you are trying to export a bitmap and you are not getting a transparent background you might check document properties to see if your background is getting set to be opaque for some reason but the file that I downloaded has its background transparent.
also are you using export bitmap which is correct or save as PNG which is wrong?

Your mind is what you think it is.
