Yo,
Currently, I'm working on a shirt logo. The attached picture is the lettering I am making.
I am not using any type font, rather I am using Beziers to make the outlines of these letters.
I'm having alot of trouble making these letters neat, including even letter width's and angles.
The only way I've done this so far is, with difficulty, use the Ruler tool to measure angles and widths. This is extremely tedious and usually ends up in me having to back track.
Any ideas on how I can make this process alot easier? If you need more info, let me know.
Cheers,
Sack.

I think the image didn't get attached?
Anyway, I think a few general ideas would be:
- use a grid (File > Document Properties, tab Grids). See bottom part of this manual page.
- use guides. Remember you can double-click a guide and set its position and angle accurately. There's also the extension Render > Guides Creator (maybe less useful in your case).
- use objects as "guides" to snap to (eg. a (slanted) rectangle as a box in which your letters should fit). You can put these on a locked layer and snap to them.

Re: manufacturing block letters to scale
If you need the letters to be so neat and proportional, why not use a font? Maybe it would be easier to start with a nice proportional font, and deform it here and there, than to try and make your own letters, which apparently need to be fairly consistent.
