hi!
i want to check out the new spiro-tool, but i cant find it in the dev-version for osx ppc. so i wanna ask if there is a working version of inkscape incl. spiro for an old-school-mac?
thanks for your tips!
spiro on a ppc?
Re: spiro on a ppc?
The spirograph function is a python script so you should be able to grab it from any inkscape installation. The files are located in Inkscape\share\extensions. I can't verify that it will definitely work on your copy of Inkscape.
Re: spiro on a ppc?
maybe he meant spiro-spline? It can be found under Path effects.

Re: spiro on a ppc?
i expect he means the spiro LPE thats in SVN. No idea if theres a PPC mac build with it tho.
Re: spiro on a ppc?
thanks for your fast replies. i meant the spiro-splines, but under my path-effects-palette (Inkscape-16774-PPC.dmg) i can only find "pattern allong path", "gears" and "stitch subpaths", so my question was, is there a ppc-version of inkscape that includes spiro-splines? or is the spiro-spline-thing some kind of plugin that i must install separately?

Re: spiro on a ppc?
Its a built in path effect, so you'll need a more recent build, I dont know that we have anyone doing ppc dev builds though unfortunately. Mac builds in general are something we've had issues producing regularly.
