Hi,

Firstly I'd just like to say how awesome Inkscape is!

However: I can't seem to get the eraser tool to work.
Windows 7, 64 bit, Inkscape 0.48

I took the following steps:

created 2 circles, no fill, just stroke, one inside the other. I created some text, grouped them together and set object to path
Using the eraser tool (cut out from objects), all I get is a red line. Whatever I do, nothing is erased. I have uploaded the svg file.

Can anyone help me?

Hhm, yes, that is strange behavior. The Eraser tool works properly for me, and I'm also on Windows 7, 64-bit, although I am using 0.48.1 version of Inkscape.

Ok, after a bit of research, I have learned that the Eraser tool doesn't work on Groups. After ungrouping everything, the Eraser tool does work as expected in your file
