I have a very common task that requires me to create a grid of graphic elements. How can I accomplish this without doing "copy, paste, transform; copy, paste, transform..." ? In CorelDraw, I remember an option to create a new copy of an object when transforming. That was workable.
Any thoughts? Does Inkscape have any scripting capabilities I don't know about?
Thanks!
how can I create an array of objects?
Re: how can I create an array of objects?
You can use the very rich Tiled clones option, or if the objects are already created and not clones you can use the Rows and Columns dialogue to arrange them into grid.

sounds great - I'm looking for the tiled clones tool and not finding it... Running 0.48 on Ubuntu.
