Ive been at it for a hour or more and I can not get the box checked under imput device for wacom it will high light but not check and I can not use my tablet.

I'm not sure if I'll be able to help. In File menu > Inkscape Preferences > Mouse are a couple of settings for using tablets. If you haven't already checked those, that's about all I would know to try. If you have already addressed those, then you'll have to wait for someone who uses a tablet to help. (It probably would not be a very long wait )

Actually, I just looked at Input Devices dialog. The option at the bottom (use pressure sensitive tablet) appears to be the same as in Inks Prefs > Mouse. But I'd still look in Inks Prefs, because there's a 2nd option there which you might want to use.

Yes That did it thanks . it did not cause the tablet to work but after checking the box i was able to check the box under input device . I cant get the wacom tablet box checked but I can get the wacom stylus box checked and now I can use the tools .
