Looking for car drawing tutorial for beginners
Re: Looking for car drawing tutorial for beginners
Hi.
I'm not a big fan of tutorials nor have a lot knowledge in the ones available, but creating a tutorial takes about at least twice the time to draw something.
A simple car design can take 2-3 hours at least itself, so I have doubts if a "step by step" one exists.
There are not much special about it, just repeated drawing with the pen tool and node editing, then
after the drawing is "done", comes adjusting the fills.
I suggest to watch speed painting videos on the matter instead , there are many of them.
Like this one with illustrator: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jDPA8Mw2PRQ
So.
Is there a particular car/drawing style you are after? Is there a detail that you don't know how to recreate?

Hi
Contrary to what Lazur URH feels about tutorials - I like them and have learned a lot from them -
not only using Inkscape but also Blender - CAD tools - Electronic design - programming etc.
This might be because I am not as artistic (if any at all!) as Lazur URH, I need all the hints & tips I can get.
As Adobe Illustrator (AI) is used more in the "professional world" there are more tutorials for AI available.
Since Inkscape and AI are both vector based you can follow the AI tutorials and be able to do most of the same things in Inkscape.
Here are a few CAR drawing related tutorials for AI;

You can also use Google to search for "vector car" - for me it returned 51 million hits - will keep you busy for a while~
Some more; http://vector.tutsplus.com/tutorials/tools-tips/how-to-create-a-three-dimensional-airplane-with-adobe-illustrator/
Here are some general Inkscape tutorials as well;
