Big hi to all Inkscapers from raskallux!

Postby raskallux » Wed Dec 08, 2010 2:49 am

Hi!

I used to draw graphic novels (or at least try) in my adolescent years. Later I've attended the School of Arts in Aberystwyth, Wales, and did a full BA Fine Arts degree. I used to like drawing, as you see, but not so much these days. I'm too lazy to get all the stuff out and soil my hands and room with art materials. Inkscape offers an alternative to all those messy jobs, and it's instantly rewarding, visually I mean. Has anybody used it for drawing comics? I want to do manga illustrations, actually, and would like to know if anybody has used Inkscape for that and with which result. I'll be posting anything worth of praise, whenever it's done & ready, that is. Big hug amigos.

Hi prkos. Thanks for the links and advice. Without trying to sound too dismisive about the type of work they show, I'd like to see artwork from somebody in the line of the stuff you see in proper Japanese manga comics or movies. I'm pretty much confident I would obtain a professional looking like material, with time, practice and enough learning, but all the same I'd still find encouraging viewing the artwork of people who has published it and/or make a living out of it. My hunt goes on!
