about stroke and fill

Postby albumns » Sun Aug 26, 2012 7:56 pm

Dear:

I playing around the fill and stroke function these days and I found that: if I move the filled object to different place of workspace, the color will change. I am just wondering how to fix the color of my filled object? here is a figure for it:

thank you very much

Welcome to InkscapeForum!

Wow, looks like medical research, or maybe drug research? I don't know which object in your image has had a color change (or has been moved). If you move an object and the color changes, it's usually when the object has a gradient fill or pattern fill, and "Move gradient along with object" or "Move pattern along with object" buttons on Selection tool control bar are disengaged. It's hard to tell from a screenshot, but I don't see any obvious gradient or pattern fills in the image. There still could be one there, but I can't identify it from the JPEG.

If there's no gradient or pattern fills, perhaps the object is comprised of more than one object stacked on top of each other, that have not been grouped. So that you move it, and only part of it moves?

If none of that solves the problem for you, would you please show us the SVG file? And also, please identify the problematic object?
