Hi
In Inkscape, I want to print a drawing of 20x20 inches (with same scale) but its not working properly for me. I am using SVG format.
To make things simpler, I sampled it just by sketching a straight line of 20 inches. To my surprise, the page is totally blank, forget the scaling. And only one page came out.
I am newbie to Inkscape and needs help in figuring out printing issues. Printer in use is "HP Color LaserJet 4650 PCL 6".
1. How do I make sure that the drawing prints?
2. How do I print to the scale?
3. How do I make sure that all the pages print?
4. Besides above, how do I change the unit size in the ruler above canvas. Its in Pixels and I want in Inches.
Please advise. Thanks
Pankaj

Re: Printing issues..
I've never actually printed from Inkscape. But I'm pretty sure if you set your page size correctly you should be right.
Inkscape works at a resolution of 90 dpi. This means your 20 x 20 inch page needs to be 1800 x 1800 pixels (90 x 20 = 1800).
I don't think you can change the ruler unfortunately (I wonder if this has been requested on launchpad). I think the best you can do is calculate the pixel sizes if you need to be precise.

Thanks for pointing out dpi thingy. It will be helpful.
Did you print anything developed in inkscape? If so, than how do you eventually print it?

No, I haven't. I rarely need to print anything - I live in a digital world
