dark Alice - Inks (not work safe)

Postby microUgly » Wed Oct 29, 2008 10:05 pm

Pencils were a gift from 2BeanSoup.

Inks were done using the calligraphy tool and Wacom tablet.

At first I struggled with getting nice lines, but think it's a matter of finding the right settings for your style. Once I got the setting right it was breeze. The only real challenge was her hand which I struggled to make look right. The rest was fun because having rough lines gave me some artistic freedom to improve the drawing.

I'll be colouring this... maybe this weekend.

That's fair enough. I don't expect everyone, or hardly anyone to enjoy a picture like this. Perhaps they feel they are too mature and the pic too immature, or that the proportions and display of her body offensive. I see a character and something fun to bring to life with colour. And I am proud to not let adulthood numb my inner-child ;)

I find this statement offensive. I don't choose pictures to please others.
