Copy and paste transparent images into Inkscape

Postby markadoi » Tue Jul 07, 2009 8:36 pm

Hi there,

I'm having trouble copying and pasting an image with a transparent background into Inkscape.

I used Gimp to make the required areas transparent and then saved the file as a PNG file as well as a GIF file. However, when I copy the image into Inkscape, part of the image goes a weird pixelated purple/pink/transparent. It's only part of the image, the rest of which seems to work fine. Do you have any idea why this is happening? How can I fix it so that I can paste the image without this happening?

Hope to hear from somebody soon, thanks for your help in advance.

Cheers,
Mark
