I'm trying to use Inkscape and to support OS projects but sometimes it is a pain
How to change Letter spacing? No chance to use the kayboard way (as described at http://tavmjong.free.fr/INKSCAPE/MANUAL ... g-Keyboard), It doesn't work probably because of keyboard mapping on my notebook.
Is there any other way how to change the Letter spacing in block of text? Why there isn't any way to do it in Text formatting window? So logical to put it there or no?

Try to select the text and do "Text/Convert to text" if it doesn't work. I must do that, otherwise kerning doesn't work for me. Don't ask me why, the text is a text already but it seems to be a wake up call for Inkscape.

Is your Alt key used for moving windows? Look into Inkscape FAQ there is an explanation how to get back ALT to use in Inkscape

Well if it helps, sometimes i just write a letter than duplicate and move it manually. It could be boiring but it just works for me!
