Tux Plot Jobless

Postby rdagijones » Sat Dec 14, 2013 9:27 am

Tux Plot is configured to the generic printer I created. I created a .ps document in Inkscape and saved it in the hpgi-hot-folder. I can even navigate to /home/hpgi-hot-folder and see the .ps document. When I open Tux Plot all of the jobs are empty. I even tried importing a file. A little "cog" wheel appears, moving beside Job 1 but nothing else happens. Any hints?

System Stats:
Ubuntu 10.04
Plotter: Ioline Studio 8

Hello, I'm from Poland.
I use a translator. I had the same problem. When logging had a message: Base Key is not automatically unlocked. I removed the requirement to use a password. In the terminal: seahorse. Right click / change the password. Enter your password. The other fields leave blank.

Database not activated the keys automatically. Through this apparently blocked the action of TUX

Hi

About Tux Plot ...I recently spoke to Gary the developer (after having same problem where little wheel spins but no job appears).

He said that ...any imported .SVG or .plt image must be framed by a rectangle all the way around it otherwise Tux Plot (and other reader programs) don't know where to start processing.

Try putting a rectangle close to and completely around your .SVG or .PLT image (like a frame),save and import into Tux-Plot...wheel should turn only for a few seconds before image comes up.
