Is there maybe a shortcut or button for hiding/showing all layers?
If you are working with many layers (10-20 or more) it would be convenient to hide/show all at once.
Especially hiding ALL would be nice when you afterwards want to make visible one layer after another.
And if you have thousands of objects in a layer it takes a while to click through 20 or more layers individually.

Re: Shortcut/button for hide/show ALL layers?
Not quite what you've asked for, but from the description you posted it would probably help: in the layers dialog you can right-click on a layer and select "Show/hide other layers" to hide every layer except the one you've clicked on.

Hi
It is possible to hide/un-hide all layers in Inkscape.
Right-click on a layer in the layer dialog;

Good Luck.

Thanks Xav and ragstian, ah... so easy....
I was looking in the menu and in the Layer-Toolbar but it didn't come to mind to try a Right-Click on a layer.
As many times: a Right-Click at the right position helps...
