At the time it was released (several years ago), SvgFactory was an excellent resource for converting vector files to .svg.
I was curious to see if a newer version existed, but found their site (highly published all over the internet) locked ("403 - Forbidden).
Anyone know why? Perhaps we should let people know that this open software is no longer available.

Re: SvgFactory Site Locked
I'm not familiar with SvgFactory, but from what I read, it was free but not open.
You might like to try Uniconverter instead. It's free, open, and actively developed. http://sk1project.org/modules.php?name= ... iconvertor

Re: SvgFactory Site Locked
You're right, MicroUgly, I misspoke when I said "open" as opposed to freeware. I, too, am familiar w/ Uniconvertor, when I finally got it to work. I didn't realize you can encounter configuration issues when Python is installed in more than one location. The thing I like about SvgFactory is the ability to cut/paste from one vector program (CorelDraw) into Inkscape WITH the shading/effects importing perfectly. By the way, I can't say thanks enough for turning me on to ArtRage. Up to now, my favorite painting programs have been The Gimp and Jasc's PaintShop Pro. Now, I'm going to get out that huge Wacom drawing tablet and get to work w/ ArtRage.
