I just tried to reply to a new user ( lee1984 ), and the post and thread no longer work

I looks like the message is back now.
As you probably know, the first 2 messages of every new member are moderated, before appearing on the forum. If the user edits the message, it has to go through moderation again. So probably they posted it, you replied, then they edited it, and it disappeared while waiting to be approved. But it's back now
