Add Nodes and Jitter Nodes not working right

Postby ductape » Wed Aug 18, 2010 6:39 am

Hey all!

For some reason, on a fresh install of inkscape here both add nodes and jitter nodes does nothing at all. I looked at the error logs and I see this stuff:
Extension "LaTeX formula" failed to load because a dependency was not met.

What is going on?

Im on a fresh install of Linux Mint also. Downloaded inkscape from the repository.

Do other extensions work? You need to have python installed to make them work.

This message is unrelated to the mentioned extensions 'Add nodes' and 'Jitter nodes' (the extension-errors.log does tell you what is missing for the "LaTeX formula" so you can install it if you need really to insert and render LaTeX formulas in Inkscape).

Keep in mind that 'Add nodes' and 'Jitter nodes' only work on normal paths, not on shapes like rectangles, ellipses or stars (convert them to path first, using menu 'Path > Object to Path').
