How to transform some parts of objects ?

HI, everyone

I'm new to Inkscape, Sorry if this is a stupid question, But how to transform some parts of objects ?

here is a picture that describes what I want to do:

You'll need to convert the star to a path using "Object to Path" from the Path menu, then you can use the :tool_node: tool to move the individual nodes.

Yes, convert the shape to a path by going PATH > OBJECT TO PATH.

Then by selecting the various nodes, by holding SHIFT to select more than one, you could select all the nodes from half way up the shape (as you've shown) and drag down or upwards depending on the length you desire.
